4. MAINTENANCE
3.1.
ATTACHING PULLER TO LOAD AND THE ANCHOR.

WARNING! Ensure you have read, understood and
apply chapter 1 safety instructions before using the puller.
3.1.1. Secure hook and pulley to a rigid anchor which will take the
strain of the load to be pulled.
3.1.2. Secure the puller to the load to be pulled.
3.1.3. Depress the drive pawl spring in the direction of arrow
in figure 1. A.
3.1.4. Raise handle and hold firmly in this position, then depress stop
pawl in the direction of arrow B.
3.1.5. At the same time pull until desired slack has been taken up
between the anchor, puller and the load.

3.3.
TO RELEASE THE TENSION

WARNING! Avoid abrupt handle movements, apply
pressure to handle with an even and steady force.
3.3.1. Depress the pawl spring in the direction of arrow in figure 3. A.
3.3.2. Very carefully and slowly push handle until drive pawl pushes
and disengages the stop pawl (not shown) to clear ratchet
teeth. This will release the load by one notch.
3.3.3. Repeat this handle motion as required to release the tension
one notch at a time.
3.3.4. When the tension has been fully released, check the load and
anchor to determine removal of the pulley hooks.
4.1.
CABLE REPLACEMENT.
A special quick-change designed Keyhole and a swayed end opening in the barrel of the ratchet wheel permits instant and secure
replacement of the cable.
1. Pull all the cable off the ratchet wheel.
2. Snap old cable out of the Keyhole.
3. Snap the new cable into the Keyhole.
4. Rewind the cable onto the ratchet wheel.
4.2.
CLEANING
Clean the puller after each use, and wipe the tool with a slightly oiled cloth, then store in a safe, dry, childproof place.

3.2.
APPLY TENSION

WARNING! Do Not overload.
3.2.1. Engage the drive pawl and ratchet wheel by pushing pawl
spring in the direction of arrow figure 2.A.
3.2.2. Each pull of the handle will wind the cable to pull the load.
