The AK2951 torch is portable and lightweight, suitable for heating and soldering. Powered by butane gas (lighter fuel), the torch has slide switch

ignition and automatic flame selection for quick and clean operation. 

AK2951 Set comprises: Torch, Hot Air Nozzle, Soldering Tip, Safety Cap.

Familiarise yourself with the applications, limitations and potential hazards of the tool.

Replace or repair damaged parts. 

Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.

DO NOT repair the torch yourself, use an authorised service agent.

WARNING!

Use and handle the butane gas (lighter fuel) in accordance with any instructions supplied with the fuel.

Butane gas is highly flammable, so keep an appropriate fire extinguisher at hand.

Ensure that there are no flammable or combustible materials near the work area.

Keep the work area clean and uncluttered and ensure that there is adequate ventilation and lighting.

Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.

Remove ill fitting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings and other loose jewellery and contain and/or tie back long hair.

Point the torch away from yourself and others when igniting flame.

Keep hands and body clear of the torch head when operating as it becomes very hot.

Secure unstable workpiece with a clamp, vice or other adequate holding device.

Always use the integral stand when the torch is not in use.

use torch where there are flammable liquids, solids or gases such as paint solvents and including waste wiping or cleaning rags etc.

use the torch for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.

touch the torch head during, or immediately after, use. Allow the torch to cool naturally before handling.

When work is complete, allow the torch to cool. Clean the torch and accessories and store in a safe, dry childproof location.

Note:

The torch is supplied without butane gas. Before use it must be fuelled as follows:

TO FUEL THE TORCH

3.1.1.

Use only high quality butane gas (lighter fuel) to fill the torch.

3.1.2.

Ensure the “On/Off”’ switch is in the “Off” position. See fig. 1, “On/Off” Safety Switch.

3.1.3. 

Follow the instructions on the butane fuel can.

3.1.4.

Apply the can filler tip to the torch base filler valve (figs. 1 & 2). Use a pumping action for best filling results.

3.1.5.

Once full, allow gas in the torch to stand and stabilise for a few minutes before use.
