For general erasing, clean dry air at pressures of 30 to 45psi. may be used.
4.1
Ensure the air hose coupling is attached to a compressor or air line.
4.2
Unscrew the gravity feed pot lid (fig.1B).
4.3
Fill pot ¾ full with abrasive material (aluminium oxide), replace lid and screw down securely.
4.4
Regulate air pressure for erasing on paper surfaces to approximately 30psi. Use a higher air pressure of
45psi for metal, gold castings, plastic or glass work.
4.5
Hold the air eraser the way you would a pencil and press the trigger to start using the air eraser. Move
the air eraser with the Tip about 12.5mm to 3mm above the work surface. Adjust to achieve results
desired.
4.6
Adjust Control Screw (fig.1A) to change the amount of abrasive material used. Screw to lowest point to
avoid excessive use of abrasive.
4.7
For work requiring fast, heavy abrasion, use a higher air pressure. Hold tip of the Air Eraser very close to
the working surface to cut faster. Hold at a distance for blending and broad coverage.
NOTE:
Expect a slight trickle of abrasive to flow out after trigger is released. This is caused by air pressure in
the cup being relieved.
4.8
Keep the air eraser free from dirt and dust.
