10.1
SAS features
This section lists the SAS-specific features supported by Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD v7 drives.
10.1.1 task management functions
Table 5 lists the SAS task management functions supported.

Table 6 lists the SAS response codes returned for task management functions supported.
10.2
Dual port support
Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD v7 SAS drives have two independent ports. These ports may be connected in the same or different SCSI domains. Each
drive port has a unique SAS address.
The two ports have the capability of independent port clocking (e.g. both ports can run at 12Gb/s or the first port can run at 6Gb/s while the second
port runs at 3Gb/s.) The supported link rates are 3.0, 6.0, or 12.0 Gb/s.
Subject to buffer availability, the Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD v7 drives support:
• Concurrent port transfers—The drive supports receiving COMMAND, TASK management transfers on both ports at the same time.
• Full duplex—The drive supports sending XFER_RDY, DATA and RESPONSE transfers while receiving frames on both ports.
