By rotating the knob as indicated, you can 

turn the power ON/OFF.

Please read the instruction manual for the camera.

When a focus or zoom gear is mounted on 

the lens, you can control the manual focus 

or adjust the zoom angle.

The focus / zoom dial cannot be used if there is no gear mounted on the 

lens.

When using a zoom gear, you cannot shoot with manual focus.

=

Do not use a focus gear when you wish to shoot with autofocus.  

Autofocus shooting with a focus gear will damage the lens.
