Using the AC power cradle
Insert the cradle’s AC power cord plug into an AC mains outlet with a 230V AC ~ 50Hz
power source and dock the unit into the cradle. The AC power LED indicator lights up
indicating that the cradle is supplying the power to the unit.
Using batteries
1.
Open the battery compartment door.
2.
Insert 3x UM3/ “AA” size batteries (not supplied) with the polarities (+/-)
matching the markings in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may
damage the unit.
3.
Replace the battery compartment door.
Note: When the AC power cradle is used, the battery power is cut off automatically.
Precautions when using batteries
1.
Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2.
Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. alkaline, rechargeable or standard (carbon zinc)) or
old batteries with fresh ones.
3.
Exhausted batteries must be removed to prevent possible battery leakage.
4.
Dispose of batteries properly according to environmental regulations.
Memory backup for time and preset stations
During a power failure or while batteries are being replaced, the unit can save the time and preset stations for a
maximum time of 60 seconds.
