Pump Displays - Start Up
If the device fails to indicate clear pump, check for any potential leaks in the
connection of the pump to the device or within the sample draw system including
hydrophobic and particulate filters in the probe assembly.

Remove finger from probe and the device is ready for use.
Installing - Device Powered Up
This section describes how to install the optional pump when the device is powered
up.
Warning:
Pump is not automatically activated when attached to a powered on device.
You must press the Left Operation Button to begin pump activation. Failure to activate
a pump leads to unreliable monitoring that could lead to death or injury.

Connect the pump by inserting, at an angle, the pump's back Tab into the device's
pump receiving Tab. Rotate the pump forward until the pump sits flush with the
device. Screw the pump retaining screw into the threaded hole located on the front
of the device. See

At this point, the pump is not running. Push and hold the Left Operation Button to
activate the pump. Release the Left Operation Button when BLOCK PUMP
displays.

To block pump inlet, place a finger over the probe. Once the test is passed, CLEAR
PUMP displays.

Disconnecting the Optional Pump
This section describes how to disconnect the optional pump from the device.

Unscrew the pump retaining screw while continuing to hold the pump against the
device.

If unit is powered on, press and hold the Left Operation Button until the device
starts displaying the PEAK exposures.
If the pump alarm sounds, acknowledge by pressing and releasing the Left or Right
Operation Button, then press and hold the Left Operation Button until the device
starts displaying PEAK EXPOSURES. PEAK EXPOSURES flashes briefly before
returning to a normal monitoring display.

Rotate the pump backwards until it comes off the device.
