Locking, Unlocking and Starting
9.6.1
Manual Unlocking
The Cabin Car can be unlocked manually by using the dedicated door key provided with your cabin
car. The key will lock and unlock both doors at the same time when used in the Nearside door, and
will unlock just the right door when used on the offside door.
9.6.2
Key Fob
The key fob provided with your Cabin Car has been programmed to unlock both doors
simultaneously. It is not recommended that you lock the car from the inside of the vehicle, though it
is possible. In an emergency quick exit from the vehicle may be hampered by locked doors.
9.6.2.1
Changing the battery
The battery in the key fob should last approximately 24 months, and can be
replaced at home. To do so, simply remove the three screws on the rear of the
fob. Inside, you can remove the circuit board and pull out the black rubber
battery-holder.
The holder contains two small batteries, stacked on top of one another. Replace
these batteries and slide the holder back into place. Replace the cover and re-
tighten the screws, taking care that all pieces fit together snugly.
The batteries required are: Lithium Cell CR2016 V3 batteries.
