If a buffer solution is used for the mobile phase, then use LPGE-OUT tube (Long). Derive the system delay volume by replacing 40 μL (LPGEOUT tube
volume), with 315 μL.
Example: 275 + 315 + 40 + 30 + 230 + 35 = 925 μL
5
If trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) fis being used or the mobile phase, then use Mixer MR300 µL (provided with the Delay Volume-Compatible System Kit). Derive
the system delay volume by replacing 40 µL (mixer volume), with 300 µL.
Example: 275 + 40 + 300 + 30 + 230 + 35 = 910 µL
6
If a mixing performance higher than that provided by Mixer MR300 µL is required, then use a mixer with a volume of 780 µL or 2 mL. Replace 40 µL (mixer
volume) with the appropriate volume, 780 µL or 2 mL, to derive the system delay volume.
Example (780 µL): 275+ 40 + 780 + 30 + 230 + 35 = 1390 µL
7
To increase the injection volume of the sample, add Optional Loop (500 µL) or Optional Loop (2 mL) to the sample loop.
When using Optional Loop (500 µL), add 885 µL to 230 µL (sample loop volume), or when using Optional Loop (2 mL), add 3230 µL to derive the system
delay volume.
Example: (Optional Loop [500 µL]): 275 + 40 + 40 + 30 + 230 + 885 + 35 = 1535 µL
