lead pair extend all the way to the handler terminal.

Preferably, the shield will be attached to a shielded enclosure surrounding the device
under test.  The shielded enclosure should be electrically attached to the 5000 Series
Tester device lead cable and to no other ground point.  If no enclosure is used, carry
the shielded cable as far as possible into the handler with the shield ending as near
as possible to the device, but not connected to anything else.

Connect one end of the 50-P Centronics cable to the back of the 5000 Series Tester
marked “LCD” and  the other end to the  back of the  Low  Current Deck.  This cable
supplies the control signals and voltages to the Low Current Deck.

If a handler is used, connect a handler control cable from the back of the 5000 Series
Tester marked “Handler” to the handler.

To gain access to the printed circuit boards in the Low Current Deck, remove the top
cover screws and the top cover.

8.2 Programming

Programming is accomplished in the same manner as any other test step entry with
certain additional entries. These entries provide programming for additional
parameters that are included in the Low Current Deck.

The additional items, which must be specified when programming, include:



Answer Mode

Do not connect or disconnect the 50-Pin control
cable with the power to the 5000 Series Tester turned
on. The connector contacts may be damaged.
