1   Intended use

If the product is leaking, the seal must be submerged. In most cases, the
cause is wear.

4   Notes on particular risks

WARNING

Risk of injury due to unexpected movements!

If the power supply is switched on or residual energy remains in the system,
components can move unexpectedly and cause serious injuries.

• Before starting any work on the product: Switch off the power supply

and secure against restarting.

• Make sure, that no residual energy remains in the system.

WARNING

Risk of injury from contact with lubricants!

Lubricant may cause irritation and allergic reactions if it contacts the skin or
eyes.

• Avoid the skin and eyes coming into contact with the lubricant.
• Wear safety goggles and protective gloves.
• Observe information on the safety data sheet of the

lubricant,

The permissible lubricant is included with the spare parts package.

8   Threadlocker

If not stated otherwise, screws can be secured using Loctite no. 243 or a similar
adhesive.

9   Replacing seals

Disassembling

Ø

Ventilate the product.

Ø

Remove product from the system/machine.

Ø

Disassemble sensors if necessary.

Ø

Loosen screws (2) and pull housing (5) of the fluid feed-through up out of

the base unit (9).

Ø

Loosen screws (1) and pull flange shaft (3) up off the pinion.

Note: due to friction on the seals, an increased force may be required

when pulling out.

Seals (4) become accessible.

Ø

Size 16 – 25:

 Remove seals (4) from the housing (5).

Ø

Size 32 – 40:

 Remove the seals (4) from the flange shaft (3).

Ø

If necessary, replace seals on the base unit,

Assembling

Ø

Assemble product in the reverse order. Observe the following when doing

this:

Insert new greased seals.

Make sure that O-ring (7) and all centering bushings (8) are inserted in

the base unit (9).

Unless otherwise specified, secure all screws and nuts with Loctite no.

243 and tighten with the appropriate tightening torque.

Ø

Mount product onto the system/machine.
