4.4.4
Checking the clamping force
A corresponding test shaft is required to check the clamping force
During the check, the ambient temperature must be 20 °C to 25 °C.
Proceed as described below to check the clamping force:
•
Insert the appropriate test shaft (accessory) into the chuck at least to the minimum clamp-
ing depth. If this is not possible, loosen the clamping screw further by turning it counter-
clockwise.
•
Tighten the clamping screw to the limit.
•
If the test shaft can be pulled out of the chuck with 2 fingers and little force, the clamping
force is no longer sufficient, do not use the TENDO hydraulic expansion toolholder under
any circumstances. It can be sent to SCHUNK for repair.

Checking the leak tightness
The housing and seals are visually inspected for damage or leaking fluids

If there are liquids inside, send the product to SCHUNK for repair.
