Schulz single-phase welding transformer was developed to perform electric arc welding jobs with coated electro-
des in intermittent operation. The equipment has a handle located on the front part to adjust the welding current.
The thermal protection against overheating is done by a temperature sensor, ensuring the conservation of the
internal parts and safety of the user. In case of overheating, the output will be disabled by the temperature sensor
and the light that indicates overheating will stay ON in the front part of the equipment. While this continues is
true, the equipment must be kept at rest. The working factor of the equipment refers to the operation time at
maximum current, taking into account an interval of 10 minutes. That is, model MTS 150 Compact has a working
factor of 10%; therefore, it can operate at maximum current of 150A for 1 minute. Then, a break of 9 minutes is
necessary for the equipment to cool down before beginning a new job.
