6.3 How to insert the fluorescent tubes
- insert the pins of the fluorescent tubes into the vertical slot of the
rotary-type lampholder.
- turn the fluorescent tube by 90° into its locking position.
(For removing the fluorescent tube you have to turn it further by 90°)
Attention:
When operating type e 152 .. ZB in DC mode, only the
Sockets marked with a green dot will be active !
6.4 Notes for types with and without disconnecting switch
Only in version with disconnecting switch the fluorescent tubes and the
ECG are idle when the diffuser of the luminaire is open.
The visible indication of the disconnecting switch is green:
Disconnecting switch is open. ECG is idle.
The fluorecent tubes are ready to be removed or replaced.
The visible indication of the disconnecting switch is red:
Disconnecting switch is closed. ECG is live!
The light fitting is correctly closed.
Attention:
If the indication is red when the diffuser is open, a lamp
replacement is not at all allowed!
The lighting fitting must be disconnected from the mains
and the switch must be checked!
The light fitting type e 152 .. oS (version without disconnecting switch)
must be disconnected from the mains before opening!
Attention:
Removing the reflector is allowed only when the light
fitting is disconnected from the mains!
6.5 How to close the light fitting
For closing the luminaire you have to do the following:
- put the diffuser into the hinges.
- now close the diffuser and push it towards the gasket that is
located in the housing.
- use the triangular socket M6 for turning the triangular bolt
on the locking side of the luminaire in direction of the arrow
„Close”. Take care that all hooks of the locking system are in the
right contact with the inside of the diffuser and that they push
it onto the gasket in the housing so that there is a uniform contact.
6.6 Commissioning
Before commissioning this explosion-proof light fitting please observe and ensure that:
- the light fitting has been installed according to the regulations.
- the certified explosion-proof cable glands resp. explosion-proof locking screws are fixed in the housing
with a torque of 3 Nm (M25x1.5) or 2.3 Nm (M20x1.5).
- the connection cable has been firmly installed and is not subject to any tension whatsoever.
- the connection cables have been inserted correctly and are sealed by the gasket of the cable gland by
tightening the gland nut with a torque of 2 Nm for M25x1.5 respectively 1.5 Nm for M20x1.5.
- the electrical connection has been made correctly (see item 6.2).
- the fluorescent tubes have been properly inserted.
- the lighting fitting has been correctly closed i.e. the diffuser is correctly held by the hinges and that all
the hooks of the locking system are correctly touching the diffuser.
- there is a uniform contact between the diffuser and the gasket which is located in the housing.
- in version with disconnecting switch the visible indication of the switch shows the colour ”red”.
- the light fitting is not damaged whatsoever.
Attention:
If the fluorescent tubes are defective whatsoever or if they are at the end of their life or if any
tubes are missing in the luminaire the ECG is switching the lampholders idle.
This safety cutoff status is terminated if the luminaire had been disconnected from the mains
over 15 seconds min. and if faultless fluorescent tubes have been inserted!

5. Mounting
2 threaded holes M8 on the backside for mounting purposes (mounting material to be ordered separately).
Mount fasteners (e.g. ceiling bracket H8V P) with lock washer and hexagonal bolt to the threaded holes in
the housing.
When installing ceiling brackets 15A P please make sure to mount them in a right angle to the axis of the
fitting and that the slotted holes will open in one direction.
