Strip a minimum of 25 mm of jacket from the end
of cable and pull the shield back over the jacket as
shown and wrap the drain wire around the shield.
Strip the pair foil. Take care that foil is stripped only
that short, so that it is inserted into cap as deep as
possible.
Insert the wires from the stripped cable into the cap
through the hole as shown.
Insert the wires into their correct positions based
upon the color code.
Remark: Connector is suitable for AWG 22–26
solid wire.
Cut the excess wire off as close to the edge of the
cap as possible.
Attention: The tips of the wires have to
protude no more than 0,5 mm.
Make sure that the arrows on the jack and the cap
face in the same direction.
Align the cap with the IDC towers and press it into
position.
Rotate the wings toward each other until they snap
closed.
Ensure that the drain wire is wrapped around the
cable and shield.
Tie-wrap the drain wire to the shield. Do not over
tighten the tie wrap! If should be snug, but not so
tight that it crushes the wires. If necessary cut the
excess shield without damage to the cable jacket.
Cut the tie wrap as close to the cable as possible.
Do not cut the drain wire or damage.
In order to remove the connector clip, insert a small
screwdriver into the slot.
