WHAT IS WRONG?

The appliance may not function at all or does not functioning
properly. Before calling the after-sales service, let’s see what
we can to do.
Check that there is no cutting of the gas or electricity
supply, and if the gas valves on the appliance are opened
properly.

The burner is not igniting or the flame is not uniform.

Have you checked if:
•  the gas outlets are not hazardously blocked.
•  the detachable pieces forming the burner have been

mounted correctly.

•  there are air currents in the proximity of the hob.

The flame does not remain ignited.

Have you checked if:
•  you have pressed the knob well.
•  you have pressed and held the knob for a period of time,

enough to allow the safety device to connect.

•  the gas outlets situated on the safety device are not

hazardously blocked.

The burner goes out when it is adjusted to the
minimum flame position.

Have you checked if:
•  the gas outlets are not hazardously blocked
•  there are air currents in the proximity of the hob
•  the minimum flame has been adjusted correctly (See

paragraph ‘’Minimum adjustment ").

The saucepans are unstable.

Have you checked if:
•  the base of the saucepan is perfectly flat
•  the saucepan is placed well on the centre of the burner
If, despite all these steps, your appliance still does not
function and the problem persists, call the nearest After-
Sales Service of Merloni Elettrodomestici and be specific
with:
- the type of fault.
- the logo of the model (Mod. ...) indicated in the warranty
certificate.
Never contact unauthorised technicians and always refuse
the installation of spare parts which are not original.
