The Contacts Application works in combination with imported contacts that you have setup on your
PBXact User Control Panel. Please see more information on setting up contacts for the User Control
Panel. This document will only go over how to
use your phone to
access those contacts that you have
already.
When you first press the Contacts
button
you should see a screen like this.
From here need to pick which input mode you would like to use. Once you select this the first time it
will remember this mode and not prompt you to pick it each time. You can change the input mode at
anytime if you would like.
The 2 modes are:
• T-9- This operates like most cell phones where you press the number for each letter you want so if I
was entering “T” I would press the 8 key twice and for “O” I would press the 6 key 4 times
• One-Touch- In this mode you press the button for each letter you want once. If I was looking for Tony
I would just type 866 and it would find all matches that start with all the letters associated with 866
such as “Ton” and present all matches to you.
