5.1 Electrical Connection

DANGER

Danger of electric shock

This can result in fatal injuries or even death.

►

Before working on electrical components, switch off the main switch and secure
it so that it cannot be switched on again inadvertently.

►

Ensure that the control pendant is suspended by the strain relief device (snap
hook

►

The PE conductor must not carry any operational current. If you are using a
motor-protection switch, you must observe the current strength of the chain
hoist (see the type plate).

Voltage supply for a load suspension device

Connection 3

Control pendant / operating panel for VacuMaster Comfort

Power supply:

Connect the flat cable from the Schmalz crane system to connection 1 (Fig. 6).
If you do not have the appropriate plug and cable specifically for your crane system, you can
obtain them from J. Schmalz GmbH (power supply). If required, you can connect the voltage
supply cables of a load suspension device to connection 2. The controller inputs are located at
connection 3.
