12 Record Setting
You can set the recording format or audio source before recording. On the main
menu, select “Record Setting” and press the
Control Wheel
to show the options.
Select the audio source
For the “Source” item, to record voice through the internal microphone, select “MIC”.
To encode external audio source through the line-in cable, select “line in”.
Set the recording quality
(1) Select “Voice Record”, “Line Record” or “FM Record” and press the
Control
Wheel
to continue.
(2) Select “WAV File” or “MP3 File” and press the
Control Wheel
to confirm. For
MP3 file, you can turn the
Control Wheel
to adjust the bit rate. The higher the
bit rate, the better the recording quality but the more space needed.
Set the sensitivity
Set the line-in recording and FM recording sensitivity:
(1) Select “Line Record” and press the
Control Wheel
to continue.
(2) Select “Sensitivity” and press the
Control Wheel
to continue.
(3) Move the
Control Wheel
to adjust the sensitivity degree and press the
Control
Wheel
to confirm.
13 FM Radio Mode
In the FM radio mode, you can tune in the FM broadcasting station within the specified
frequency range.

Search for station
1. Auto Search
In the “Preset” mode, move the
Control Wheel
downward and hold it to start auto
scan. “Auto Scan” displays on the LCD. The device will search for all stations
automatically and save the found stations as preset stations. You can press the
Control Wheel
to stop the search.
2. Manual Search
(1) Press the
Control Wheel
to switch to the “Jiggle” mode.
(2) Turn the
Control Wheel
to adjust the frequency.
(3) When you tune to the station with strong signal, you can save the station as
preset. For detail information about saving station, see the “Save Station”
section.
3. Auto search for station one by one
Press the
Control Wheel
to switch to the “Jiggle” mode, move the
Control Wheel
downward and hold it to start scan. The device begins to search for station, and
then locks at the found station. You can press the
Control Wheel
to stop the
search.
To resume searching for another station, move the
Control Wheel
downward and
hold it once again. It goes on searching for the next station and then locks at it.
