Main unit

Befo re requ esting servi ce fo r this pla yer, che ck the chart b elo w fo r a p ossible ca us e
of t he probl em y ou a re e x perie ncing. Some simple ch ecks or an ad justment on you r
par t ma y el iminate t he problem a nd resto re pro pe r op eration.

Rem edy

No power.

Insert the AC adaptor securely int o the power outlet.

The picture will be somewha t distorted a t times: this is
nor mal.

Picture is dis torted during rapid
advance or ra pid reverse .

N o rapid adva nce or rapid
r everse play

Some discs may h ave sections which prohib it rapid
advan ce (or rapid reverse.)

Play fails to start ev en when
PLAY is p ressed.
Play start s but then stops
immediat ely.

Con densation has formed : wait abou t 1 to 2 ho u rs
to a llow the pla yer to dry o ut.
This player can not play a disc other t han DVD, VCD and

CD.

The disc may b e dirty and may requir e cleaning .
Ensu re that the disc is ins talled with the label s ide up.

No pic ture.

En sure that the equipment is connected properly.

No so und.
Disto rted sound.

Ensu re that the e quipment is c onnected pr operly.
Ensu re that the in put setting f o r the TV and stereo
syste m are correct.
Adjus t the master volume to a suitable volu me by rotati ng
the v olume knob a t the side of the player.

Disconnect the power adaptor and then reconnect it. (The
player may n ot be operating properly due to lightn ing, static
electricity o r some other external factor.)

No key operation (by the main
unit and/or the remote control
unit) is effective.

No operations ca n be performed
with the remote c ontrol unit.

Check the batteries are installed with the correct polarities.
The batteries are exhausted: replace them with new ones.
Point remote control at the remote control sensor and
operate.
Operate the remote control unit at a distance of not
more than 6 m from the remote control sensor.
Remove the obstacles between the remote contro l and
remote control sensor.
