GUIDELINE FOR SELECTING REPLACEMENT MANDRELS

9. Press the trigger until rivet nut is fastened.
10. When rivet nut is fastened securely in the workpiece, release the trigger.
11. Switch power drill to rotate in counterclockwise direction.
12. Grip and hold the drill attachment firmly and then press trigger of the power drill.
The Mandrel should be protruding out of the drill attachment.
13. When <click, click> sound is heard, release the trigger.
14. Release grip on (not holding) the drill attachment, press trigger of the power drill, again.
Let the drill attachment spin freely to unscrew the Mandrel from rivet nut.
With our Omni-Mandrel System, you can use regular screws of any head type as Mandrel for
fastening rivet nuts. Simply follow the guideline below to find the appropriate screw to use as
Mandrel.
If the rivet nut you are using is longer or shorter than the typical rivet nut of the same thread size,
please choose longer screw or shorter screws, and make sure there is a clearance of
4mm – 8mm between the rivet nut and the Anvil. Please see Figure 8 for more details.
Please clean and lubricate of the threads of adapter regularly and after extensive use. Please
lubricate the threads using high quality grease designed for high pressure, low speed sliding
surfaces such as grease for bearings. Please also clean debris out of the inside of the drill
attachment. Grease can also be applied to the tracks inside.

to remove debris and clean the
parts. Please grease the outside
of jaws with high quality grease.
