Operation on a Surround Amplifier
After connecting and positioning the speakers, you can now set-up your AV receiver.
Many devices now offer automatic set-up, however we recommend keeping the
operating instructions for the AV receiver on hand.
Since bass management primarily depends on the speaker configuration, we
suggest some common set-ups in the following section.
a) Small and very small satellite speakers should be operated in “small” mode.
Carry out the set-up on your amplifier as follows:
Front: small
Centre: small
Rear: small
Subwoofer: yes
b) When setting-up for compact speakers, there is no fixed formula for the
setting mode. Both “large” and “small” modes can be appropriate. This
depends on your preferred listening level or sound impression (please also
refer to the section “Beware of Clipping!”).
