Value for rising edge
– value that the “FB 1: edge - Rising/falling” communication object will
assume in response to the rising edge event in the “Control channel” (1-bit: Off / On (0 / 1);
1-byte: 0-255; 1-byte – percentage: 0…100 %; 4-bit - dimming control: 100…1% Brighter,
Stop dimming, 1…100% Darker; 4-bit – shutter control: 100…1% Up, Stop, 1…100%
Down).
Value for falling edge
– value that the “FB 1: edge - Rising/falling” communication object will
assume in response to the falling edge event in the “Control channel” (1-bit: Off / On (0 /
1); 1-byte: 0-255; 1-byte – percentage: 0…100 %; 4-bit - dimming control: 100…1%
Brighter, Stop dimming, 1…100% Darker; 4-bit – shutter control: 100…1% Up, Stop,
1…100% Down).
4.5.3 Dimmer
It allows you to turn lighting ON/OFF and to regulate its brightness. You can define in the
program (“Two-channel mode” parameter) whether lighting control is to be implemented by
using one or two channels. Turning on/off is implemented by the “FB 1: dimmer – Switch”
1-bit communication object, whereas the process of dimming brighter / darker is implemented
by the “FB 1: dimmer – Dim relative” 4-bit object, where the “BRIGHTER” / “DARKER”
telegram will change brightness by the value defined in the “Dimming up: step value” and
“Dimming down: step value” fields. The “STOP” telegram terminates the process at the value
reached.
The function block can be controlled by short/long press events and falling edge events.
Value of the “FB 1: dimmer – Switch” communication object can be changed by
telegram from the KNX bus. This enables its value to be updated each time when
turning the light on/off is triggered by another communication object from the same
address group (e.g. another button in the staircase).
