Do not set the torque beyond the application range of torque wrench.
- Before adjusting the torque, confirm that the lock ring has been pulled down to make the torque wrench in an adjustable
status.
When the torque wrench is tightened, do not adjust the torque by turning the handle to avoid the damage to internal
precision components.
- To ensure the accuracy of SATA torque wrench, the torque wrench for the first use or after long-term storage shall be
operated 5-10 times in the high torque (90% of the maximum output torque) to make the internal precision parts fully
lubricated with lubricant to maintain
±
3% accuracy.
- Make sure the handle is properly gripped. Hold the handle not the wrench rod, and then apply the force horizontally. Apply
the force slowly and smoothly not the impact force. The impact force may not only cause the damage to torque wrench
itself, and also cause the actual output torque value to greatly exceed the set torque value, thereby damaging the nut or
workpiece.
Correct method of applying force is to install the wrench head of correct size on the torque wrench, and then place the
wrench head on the workpiece to be fastened. While applying the force, hold the middle of aluminum alloy handle firmly and
apply the force perpendicular to the common plane where the torque wrench and fastener are located.
