Can you watch Max on your computer?
Yes, customers with Max can watch TV on their PC’s. To do this,
the customers would need to install a TV tuner card into their
computer. The TV tuner card costs $80 and up and is available at
most computer stores. SaskTel does not support this equipment.
If a trouble is found and is due to the TV tuner card, the customer
will be charged the Custom Work Rates of $89/hr.
Is cable or satellite service still required? Does Max replace
cable?
SaskTel’s Max is an alternate to cable or satellite TV, therefore
cable or satellite hook-ups are no longer required. The two main
differences between Max and other services are:
a. Max does not require a large capital outlay
such as set-top
boxes and modems like satellite and cable TV, and
b. Max provides access to many other services and functionality
not currently experienced by regular broadcast customers.
What if I move?
If you are transferring your service within the same city, you can
move the Max equipment to your new residence (set-top box(es),
remote control(s), modem, and switch). The SCC ($99) will be
waived. The service connection charges still apply to move the
network access, for a field visit or facilities in place. If you are
moving to another city, please return your equipment to the
SaskTel Store within 10 days of the disconnect date.
