Taring
lfyou wish to use the gern tray
(10) , or another Container, or if the
weight display does not indicate 0.000 ct/0,00 ct or
0.000 g/0.00 g, (or the equivalent with the weight unit of your choice),
press the tare control to zero the display before weighing.
Weighing
The scale features 2 weighing ranges that can be selected conven-
iently at the touch of a key (
W1 /W2 ):

G 200 D 201.000 ct 505.00 ct
G 500 505.000 ct 101.00 g
After you have selected the desired range with the range selector
(4) ,
the scale will automatically perform a self-test of the essential elec-
tronic circuits which ends with a zero readout plus the symbol of the
particular weight unit selected. The number of zeros displayed de-
pends on the range you have chosen.
To utilize the full weighing range of the scale, remove the
ring-
shaped tare compensating weight (12), and place the gem tray (10)
on the pan (11) .
In addition to carats and grams, this scale offers you a variety of
other menu-definable international weight unit options.
Select the weight unit you need from the fable of the menu options for
the scale operating program and set the appropriate code as de-
scribed in the section "Scale Operating Program."
Place your sample or object on the gem tray or pan to determine the
weight. Read off the weight indicated in the display
(2) as soon as the
weight unit (g, ct, etc.) appears as the stability symbol.
