The Xacti C1 features a bright, trans-reflective, low-temperature
polysilicon Thin Film Transistor (TFT), with a high resolution of 110,000
pixels. This TFT helps alleviate the problem of direct sunlight making the
screen image hard to see — a common problem on conventional LCDs.
Plus, if the backlight is turned off, the Xacti C1's LCD can actually make
use of reflected sunlight to illuminate the screen clearly, saving power
in the process.
