Two types of backlight compensation

Multi-spot photometry (64-section) system

The screen is divided into 64 areas on which luminous intensity is 
measured separately to determine the lighting/backlight conditions 
of all objects. This makes it possible to apply optimum backlight 
compensation even for peripheral objects and moving objects.

Center-zone light measuring system

The brightness of the central area of the picture frame is meas-
ured, and by automatic adjustment of the lens aperture a clear and 
sharp image is possible even when the subject is backlit.
