54 Section 2B: Controlling Your Phone’s Settings
Alert Notification
Your phone can alert you with an audible tone when you
change service areas, once a minute during a voice call, or
when there are incoming or missed Press&Talk calls.
To set alerts:
1.
Select > Settings > Sounds > Alerts .
2.
Select your desired option and press .

Service sets an alert to notify you of network services
parameter changes.
䡲
Press&Talk sets an alert to notify you of Press&Talk
calls. Select Press&Talk Calls for incoming
Press&Talk calls or P&T Missed for missed
Press&Talk calls.

Voicemail sets an alert to notify you of voice
messages. Select Ringer Length to set the ringer
length of Voicemail notification.

Messaging sets an alert to notify you of text or
picture messages. Select Ringer Length to set the
ringer length of Messaging notification.

Minute Beep sets a minute reminder that beeps 10
seconds before the end of each minute during a call.

Signal Fade sets an alert to notify you when your
phone loses a signal during a call.
3.
Use your navigation key to select a setting and press .
Tip:
You can select Once or Repeat Alert if you select Press&Talk Calls, P&T
Missed, Voicemail, or Messaging.
Repeat Alert
sounds an alert every two
minutes for 20 minutes. (For Press&Talk Calls, an alert sounds for 20
seconds continuously.)
