9. Test Run

9-1. Performing Test Run

Be careful since the fan will

start when performing Test

Run.

(1)

The Operation Selector is located on the electrical

component box inside the indoor unit. To access the

Operation Selector, press the two latches of the air

intake grille in the direction of the arrow to open the

grille. Open the air intake grille downward.

(Fig. 9-1)

(2)

Set the Operation Selector to the “Test” position.

The air conditioner will start running.

(3)

Let the unit run for about 30 minutes and check that

the unit operates normally.

(4)

After the Test Run, be sure to reset the Operation

Selector to the “ON” position for normal operation.

The air conditioner continues to run .

(5)

Referring to the Operating Instructions, select the

Cooling mode and press the ON / OFF operation

button on the remote control unit, to confirm remote

control unit operation.

Set the Operation Selector at the “ON” position. Other-

wise the unit will stop or will not run correctly.

Remote Control Unit

(1)

Service TEST RUN switch is located on the rear

side of the remote control unit. Set the switch to the

TEST RUN position. (Fig. 9-2)

(2)

Referring to the Operating Instructions, select the

cooling mode and press the ON / OFF operation

button on the remote control unit.

(3)

The air conditioner will start running 3 minutes after

the ON / OFF operation button is pressed.

(4)

Let the unit run for about 30 minutes and check that

it operates normally.

(5)

Press the ON / OFF operation button again to stop

the unit.

Set the Service Test RUN switch at “RUN” position,

otherwise the unit will not run correctly.
