ALTERNATIVE POWER SUPPLY
This unit is fitted with a 3V DC power socket (3)
which will accept a 3V 300mA DC external main
adaptor with negative center pin (adaptor not
included). When in use the adaptor automatically
cuts out the batteries.
ANTENNA
This unit is fitted with a built-in ferrite rod antenna
for use with the MW and LW wavebands.
This antenna is directional and it may be necessary
to rotate the set slightly for best reception.
FM reception is best obtained by raising the
telescopic antenna (6), then angling it and rotate
the set for best reception.
SW reception is best obtained by raising the
telescopic antenna (6) to its fullest extent and
using the radio with the antenna upright.
If reception is generally poor, select a different
position in the room, near a window perhaps.
