TUNING
The RS-330 receives both FM and AM broadcasts. When the radio is first turned
on, the letters FM will appear on the display indicating that the RS-330 is set to
receive FM transmissions. To change to the AM band, press the BAND button
. The display will change to AM. Press this button a second time to return to
the FM band.
APS (AUTO PROGRAM STATIONS)
When first plugged in to the power, the APS (Auto Program Stations) system will
scan from the low frequency to high frequency and store the stations automati-
cally by priority of signal strength when they are found. When APS is completed,
the radio will stop at Preset 1 of Page 1 _ the strongest signal station in your
tuning area. To restart the APS system, select the required radio band (either FM
or AM) by pressing the BAND button . Then press the APS button on the
rear panel for more than two seconds _ APS will appear in the display.
MANUAL TUNING
Press and release TUNE/TIME buttons to move one step up (
∧
) or down (
∨
) in
frequency. Each press changes the FM frequency by 100 kHz and the AM
frequency by 10 kHz. Hold down either button to scan rapidly.
SCAN TUNING
Press and hold the TUNE/TIME buttons for more than one-half second to scan
the selected band and the tuner will stop automatically when it lands on an active
station.
PRESET TUNING
The RS-330 has six PRESET tuning buttons labeled 1 through 6. You may
store up to 24 stations (6 stations on Page 1 and 6 stations on Page 2 on each
FM/AM band).
A. Tune the RS-330 to the desired station by manual tuning or scan tuning.
B. Press MEMO button , display will show MEMO and a ‘_’.
C. Select the page you would like to store by pressing Memory Page 1/Page 2
(P1/P2) button .
D. Then press the selected PRESET button, the display will show the page and
the preset number.
