To o b t a i n o p t i m u m p e r f o r m a n c e f r o m t h i s
u n i t , e s p e c i a l l y w h e n l i s t e n i n g t o S W / S S B /
C W a n e x t e r n a l a n t e n n a s h o u l d b e u s e d , if
a t all p o s s i b l e . The a n t e n na i s c o n n e c t e d t o

the EXTERNALANTENNAADAPTER and
then plugged into the EXTERNALANTENNA
jack located on the left side of the radio.

Located in battery compartment of the unit,
is a switch marked, 9K/10K. This switch
selects the incremental frequency STEPS
for the M W b a n d , depending upon your
geographic location. In the USA, 10K STEPS
are used, so the switch should be set to its
10K Position. In other parts of the world
where they use 9K STEPS, move the switct
to the 9K Position.
