using additional safety equipment

the kickback may cause fatal
cutting wounds.
In the event of kickback, the pet
rol chain saw is violently thrown
against the operator’s body.
Kickback may occur in the following
circumstances:
1)
Initial cut made with the nose of
the guide bar.
2)
Accidental contact with other
branches, logs, solid objects, wire
the petrol chain saw, preferably with
both hands, keeping the guide bar
away from your body.
A18.1 –
Take up a stable position, one
mesh.
3)
Cutting with the top section of
the bar.
Do not start cutting with the part of
the chain shown in the picture (the
guide bar top quadrant - 90°).

Keep the spike (fig.1 item 5) against
the wood when cutting.

When cutting, make sure the chain
is well sharpened and taut.

After a felling cut has been started,
operate the chain at max speed and
with great care.

Remove the guide bar from the cut
only when the chain is moving.

both hands: the right hand to hold
the top handle, the left hand to hold
the front handle (this also applies
to left handed people) (fig.11-A).
Always use your right hand on
the top handle even when us-
ing the chain saw with one hand
(fig.11-B).
the safety devices have been
designed to be effective when
the operator’s hands are used as
described above.
