ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ( EMS )
Energy Management System is a feature that enables the vendor to control the refrigeration and
light system in the machine according to the sales pattern in order to achieve the maximum
energy efficiency.
Learn-and-React
It has a built-in-feature that learns the sales pattern in the location to mark a sales-time-zone and
a no-sale-time-zone. The system reacts by regulating the illumination and refrigeration system
during the learnt time zones.
The illumination system is disabled and the products are stored at a higher temperature during
no-sales-hours.
In order to achieve set-point at the appropriate sales-time-zone, the regular refrigeration mode
will be activated 4 and half hours prior to the sales-time-zone.
Activate EMS System:
Open the door – press the mode switch on the VMC board –
The display will read – ‘Diagnostics’
1. Set Timing Feature.
1. Press Button 2 to scroll to “Configuration”
2. Press Button 4 to enter
3. Press Button 2 to scroll to “Timing Feature”
4. Press Button 4 – the “Off” will blink
5. Press Button 2 to change it to “On”
6. Press Button 4 to set.
2. Set Clock.
1. Press Button 2 to scroll to “Set Clock”
2. Set Time and Date
3. Set Refrigeration to EMS Mode
1. Press Button 2 to scroll to Refrigeration
2. Press Button 4 to enter
3. Press Button 2 to scroll to “Enable”
4. Press Button 4 to enter
5. Press Button 2 to scroll to “2”
6. Press Button 4 to set
4. Set Light to EMS mode
1. Press Button 2 to scroll to “Light”
2. Press Button 4 to enter
3. Press Button 2 to scroll to “Enable”
4. Press Button 4 to enter
5. Press Button 2 to scroll to “2”
6. Press Button 4 to set
De-Activate EMS system
Setting light Enable to ‘0’ and setting Refrigeration Enable to ‘0’ disables the EMS
system.
