Gaming over a Network
Many games allow you to talk to other
players on the network, either via the Inter-
net or over a local area network. This en-
ables you to chat to your team-mates dur-
ing the game. However, this requires you to
have speakers connected to your computer.
The setup procedure for speech and com-
munications for individual games can be
found in the manual for the game itself.
Internet Telephony
The Sandberg CyberMic is designed for
speech-input while using your computer, so
it is ideal for Internet telephony. Internet
telephony allows you to phone over the
Internet at no extra cost. However, this
requires you to have speakers connected to
your computer.
Various Internet telephony programs can be
downloaded via the Internet.
Internet telephony troubleshoot-
ing
•
The sound quality of the conversation
depends on the speed of both parties'
Internet connection.
•
If your Internet connection is protected
by a Firewall, it may be necessary to
configure it to allow Internet telephony.
For further help or assistance in connection
with your Sandberg product, see details on
the last but one page of these instructions.
Have fun with your Sandberg CyberMic.
