Adjust Sound settings to suit your needs and
your environment.
Volume
Set the system volume level, and set default
volume for ringtones, notifications, and media
playback.

From the Home screen, touch
Apps

Settings
➔
Sound

Touch and drag the sliders for:
• Music, video, games, and other media
: Set the
default volume level for audio playback. You can
also adjust volume from this default inside the
apps.
• Ringtone
: Set the volume for incoming call
ringtones.
• Notifications
: Set the volume for notifications,
such as new messages and event reminders.
• System
: Set the volume for all other system
sounds, such as keytones played for screen
touches. You can control whether tones play for
screen touches with other sound settings.

OK
to save your settings.
Device ringtone
Choose a ringtone for incoming calls.

Touch a ringtone to select it. As you touch
ringtones, a sample plays, unless Silent
mode is enabled.

Screen lock
for settings:
• Swipe
: When enabled, you unlock the phone by
swiping your finger across the screen. This is the
default screen lock, and offers no security, but
you can set special lock screen options under
Lock screen options.
• Motion
: When enabled, you tilt the screen
forward to unlock it.
• Face unlock
: Detects when the front camera
sees your face and unlocks the phone.
• Face and voice
: Detects when the front camera
sees your face and you talk to unlock the phone.
