5. Troubleshooting
5-1. Troubleshooting Procedure
After being plugged in, is the input status
of 5V and 12V normal?
Does CF101 oscillate?
Does the voltage of the Casode terminal on
the PIN 2 of D1 change from 5V?
Is the output of PIN 1 on IC202 normal at 3.3V?
Is the output of PIN 3 on IC202
normal at 1.5V?
When you move the P/U to the outer radius
and turn the power on,
does it move back to the inner radius?
Does the tray in and out properly?
Does the laser diode turn on properly?
Does the "Focus UP/DOWN" function work
properly?
Does the "Focus Lock" feature work properly?
Does the disc turn properly?
Does the "Spindle Lock" feature work
properly?
Is the audio output normal?
Check the connection of the
power short and cable.
Check the power supply to CF101 and,
if necessary, replace it.
Check the reset port.
Check to see if PIN 3 on IC202 is 5V and if it
is normal (5V), replace U9.
Check to see if PIN 2 on IC202 is 5V and if it
is normal (5V), replace IC202.
Refer to "When the Spindle Motor does not
rotate properly."
Refer to "When there is no audio output."

Dose both end of L2 have 5V output?
Change U12 if it is normal after checking
5V from both end of L2.
