This network service allows you to manually select the

network to be used while roaming outside of your

home area, or to let the network be chosen

automatically. You can select a network other than

your home network only if there is a valid roaming

agreement between the two.

Network mode

(Menu 9.6.3)

Use this menu to select the network you use.
•

Automatic

: the phone scans for available

networks.

•

GSM 900/1800

: the phone operates in the GSM

900/1800 network.

•

GSM 1900

: the phone operates in the GSM 1900

network. This option is only available in USA.

•

UMTS

: the phone operates in UMTS (3G network)

networks. You can get a higher speed quality than

on lower generation networks, and use advanced

data and information services, such as video calls.

Security

(Menu 9.7)

Use this menu to protect the phone against

unauthorised use by managing the several access

codes of your phone and the USIM/SIM card.

Your phone can send and receive only one contact at

a time.

If you enter an incorrect PIN/PIN2 three times in

succession, the USIM/SIM card is blocked. To

unblock it, you need to enter your PUK/PUK2

(Personal Unblocking Key). The codes are supplied

by your network operator.
