Rapid character entry
When you enter a character,
words or phrases that are
frequently used with it display
automatically. This helps you
enter phrases or words with
minimal key presses.
Abc mode
To enter a word:
Press the appropriate key
until the character you want
appears on the display.
T9 Abc
mode
To enter a word:
1. Press [
2
] to [
9
]
to start
entering a word.
2. Enter the whole word
before editing or deleting
characters.
3. When the word displays
correctly, press [ ] to
insert a space.
Otherwise, press [
0
] to
display alternative word
choices.
Number
mode
Press the keys corresponding
to the digits you want.
Symbol
mode
Press the corresponding
number key to select a
symbol.
Other
operations
• Press [
1
] to enter
punctuation marks or
special characters in Abc
mode or T9 Abc mode.
• Press [ ] to change case
or switch to Number mode
in Abc mode or T9 Abc
mode.
• Press [ ] to insert a
space.
• Press the Navigation keys
to move the cursor.
• Press [
] to delete
characters one by one.
• Press and hold [
] to
clear the entire display.
