Using the Onscreen Keyboard
You can open the onscreen keyboard anytime
you need to enter text or numbers on your PDA
phone. To enter text, you only need to tap the
characters on the keyboard.
To use the onscreen keyboard, tap the
icon
from the Tool Icons Panel.

Using Graffiti 2
Using Graffiti 2 writing, you can enter text by
writing characters anywhere on your PDA phone’s
screen as you would when writing with a pen on
paper.
To use Graffiti 2 writing, you first need to enable
it.
1. In the Application launcher, tap the
Prefs
icon
to open the Preferences application.
2. Tap
General
and then tap
Graffiti
Anywhere
.
3. Select
Enabled
or
Auto Enable in Field
from the
Status pick list
and tap
Done
.

You need to install Palm

Desktop software to
transfer data from your computer to your PDA
phone. The software is included on the PC Install
CD-ROM supplied with your SGH-i530 kit.
To install and operate Palm
TM
Desktop software,
your computer system must meet the following
requirements:
• Windows 98/NT 4.0/2000 Pro/Me/XP Home or
Pro
• 50 MB or more hard disk space
