If you select Options

Advanced settings , you can set the
following options:
•
Network type : Change a network type to either IPv6 or
IPv4 .
• Phone IP address (IPv4): Enter the IP address of your
phone.
• DNS address : For IPv4, enter the DNS (Domain Name
Server) addresses.
• Proxy server address : Enter the IP address of the proxy
server.
• Proxy port number : Enter the port number of the proxy
server.
Note : If you need to change the settings above, contact your
Internet service provider to obtain these parameters.
Packet data
The packet data settings affect all access points using a packet
data connection.
•
Packet data connecti... : If you select When available
and you are in a network that supports packet data, the
phone registers to the GPRS network, starting an active
packet data connection, for example, to send and receive
email, is quicker.
If you select
When needed , the phone uses a packet data
connection only if you start an application or action that
needs it. The GPRS connection is closed once it is not used
by any application.
Note : If there is no GPRS coverage and you have chosen
When available , the phone periodically tries to
establish a packet data connection.
