Your phone

Backlight

The backlight illuminates the display and the
keypad. When you press any key or open the
phone, the backlight comes on and remains on for a
given period of time, depending on the setting in
the Back light menu (Menu 9.1.4). When no keys
are pressed, the display turns off after one minute
to conserve battery power.

To specify the length of time the backlight is active,
set the Back light menu. See page 148 for further
details.

Appears when Silent mode is active or
when you set the phone to vibrate when
you receive a call. For further details, see
page 29 and page 82 respectively.

Appears when Mute mode is active. For
details, see page 54.

Shows the level of your battery. The more
bars you see, the more power you have
remaining.
