How to configure the iSCSI Initiator
Windows 7 / Vista
1. When you are moved to the iSCSI Initiator configuration window, a message window asking you to
agree to start the iSCSI service will be displayed as shown in the figure right. You must agree to start
the service to run the
Microsoft iSCSI Initiator
. If you agree, click the
Yes
button.
2. Then move to the iSCSI Initiator configuration window and click the
Next
button.
Note
In Windows Vista, when you click the
Next
button the message “Do you want to unblock the Microsoft iSCSI service so
that it can communicate with an Internet storage name service through Windows Firewall?” is displayed. Since this is
related to the firewall configuration, click the
Yes
button.
3. The iSCSI Initiator configuration has been completed.
Windows XP / 2000
1. When you are moved to the iSCSI Initiator configuration window, the
Microsoft iSCSI Initiator
program provided by Microsoft starts to be installed automatically.
