Section 2I: Sprint Worldwide Wireless Service

Using Your Phone’s SIM Card

Before using your phone’s GSM capabilities, you must insert
the included Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card into the
phone and activate the card. This card identifies your phone
to the GSM network(s) in which you are traveling, and can
also store personal data, including a phone book that is kept
separately from the phone’s internal Contacts directory.

To activate your SIM card:

Installing the SIM card

To install your SIM card:

1.

With the battery removed from the phone, insert the
SIM card face down into the slot provided.

2.

Slide the SIM card as far as possible to the right,
beneath the SIM card retaining brackets.

3.

Once the card is secured in the SIM slot, install the
battery as explained on page xx, and then turn the
phone on.
