field will be used as the greeting. The display
returns to the Display menu screen.
If you want to create a new greeting, select
Custom
and then
press <OK>
.

, press <Back> for at least two
seconds to erase the existing greeting.
Type in the new greeting and then press <OK> to save. For
further information for text entry, refer to "Entering
Characters".
Selecting the Backlight Time Length
The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen
and keypad are backlit after any key press is made or the flip
cover is opened.

From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.

and then
4:Backlight.

Select from the following options:

Note:
Long backlight settings affect the battery’s talk and standby times.
Changing the Contrast
To adjust the contrast on the phone’s display screen:

From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.

and then
5:Contrast.

Adjust the LCD contrast with the slide bar on the bottom by
pressing the navigation key left or right.

Press <OK> to select.
Sound Settings
Adjusting the Ringer Volume

From Standby mode, press <Menu> for the Main menu.

.

Select
1:Ringer Volume
. The following options display:

for voice call ringer or

alert.

Scroll to the desired option using the navigation key and
press <OK>.
Tip:
You can use the volume keys located on the side of the phone to
adjust the ringer volume in Standby mode with the flip open or the voice
volume during a call.
Selecting Ringer Types
Ringer types help you identify incoming calls, messages, data/
faxes and schedule events.
To select a ringer type for voice calls:
