3. Disassembly and Reassembly

3-5 Replacing the Burner Cup

WARNING

Turn off the electrical supply going 
to the range.

2. 

Shut off the gas shut-off valve in 
the gas supply line to the range.

3. 

Remove the frame cooktop. 

4. 

Using a tubing wrench on the 

JDVOLQH¿WWLQJDQGDFKDQQHOORFN

wrench on the burner cup base, 

¿UPO\KROGWKHFXSEDVHLQSODFH

while disconnecting the gas line.

5. 

To remove the electrode from 
the cup, squeeze the two outside 
edges of the clip under the 
electrode together while pulling to 
remove the locking clip. Slide the 
electrode and the wire from the 
cup. The burner cup can now be 
removed.
