Get Started

Plug the USB cable into the USB charger/accessory port on the bottom of the phone.

Plug the other end of the USB cable into the charging head, and then plug the charging head into

an electrical outlet to charge your battery. Fully charging a battery may take several hours.

Note

: Your phone’s battery should have enough charge to turn the phone on and find a signal, run the

setup application, set up voicemail, and make a call. You should fully charge the battery as soon as
possible.

Caution

: Use only Samsung-approved charging devices and batteries. Samsung accessories are

designed to maximize battery life. Using other accessories may invalidate your warranty and may cause
damage.

Caution

: Failure to unplug the wall charger before you remove the battery may cause damage to the

device.

Press and hold the

Power/Lock

key to turn the phone on.



If your phone is activated, it will turn on, search for network service, and begin the setup
application.

If your phone is not yet activated, see

Activation and Service

for more information.
