Getting started

Setting/Canceling screen lock

You can set the screen lock to prevent the 
erroneous operation of the touch screen or keys.

•  When the display is turned off with "Screen 

timeout" (P.402) set, the screen lock 
activates automatically after about 5 seconds.

Setting screen lock

Press 

•  The display turns off and the screen lock 

is set.

Canceling screen lock

1 

During the screen lock, press   / 

•  Lock screen appears.

Tap 

•  When the Home screen is set to 

"TouchWiz Basic mode" or "TouchWiz Easy 
mode", swipe (P.72) the screen up, 
down, left or right until the screen lock is 
unlocked.
