Camera
Using Bixby Vision
With Bixby Vision, you can use the following features, etc. based on
recognized image.

From the Home screen, "Camera"

On the shooting screen,
• The tutorial of Bixby Vision appears. Confirm the content and follow
the on-screen instructions.
• To use all features of Bixby Vision, signing in to Galaxy account is
required.

Point the camera at an object

Tap the scanning mode icon

Search and show images similar to displayed image on
the web.
(Place)
Look around through the camera to search the detail
information near the place.
(QR code)
Scan QR codes.
(Wine)
Capture a label with the camera, search information
such as vintage of wine, matching meal, ranking, etc.
(Text)
Recognize text and then translate it.
(Modes)
Edit scanning modes to display on the Bixby Vision
screen.
When information corresponding to the mode is scanned, notification
ringtone sounds and then scanned information or related information
on the web, etc. will be displayed.
• You can save the scanned images, or translate text information that
scanned by scanning mode, etc.
Information
• Bixby Vision is available in images in "Gallery" (P.82).
• On Bixby Vision screen, tap → "Settings" to set for Bixby Vision.
To allow Bixby Vision to recognize objects, set target object to ON in
"Settings".
• On Bixby Vision screen, tap to use flashlight.
• When a label of wine is not well recognized, shoot several times from
different angles.
Gallery
You can view or organize still images/videos saved to the terminal
or microSD card.
Supported file formats for still image are as follows. However, some
still images in the following file formats may not be displayable. For
compatible codec of video which can be played on the terminal, see
"Main specifications" (P.148)

• A data list screen arranged by shooting date appears.
• You can change display by tapping
"PICTURES"/"ALBUMS"/"STORIES".
• Tap to launch camera and display the function menu of each data
list screen.

• When the icon is not displayed, tap the screen to display it.
Displayed icons vary by displayed data.
Item Description
Return to the data list screen.
Bixby Vision is available.
Add the item to "Favorites".
Display a function menu for each selected data type.
Rotate or crop image.
Add effect on image.
Add stamp on image.
Draw on image.
Share data using online services, etc., send data via
Bluetooth or mail attachment.
Delete data.
